Walk With Water

Imagine you’re a frail woman strapping a 50 lb container of water to your back and walking 5Km so that your family can survive another day. It’s common for young children to carry 25 lbs of water for hours a day instead of attending school. That’s the reality for millions of people living in the developing world.

The Walk-With-Water Challenge is a chance for you to walk so they don’t have to.

Here’s how it works:

  • Up to four people form a team and register for the challenge
  • One 11L  (25 lb.) container of water is provided to each team
  • Teams carry the 11L of water for 3K any way they see fit
  • Each team collects pledges for their efforts

The Walk-With-Water Challenge is a simple way to raise awareness and support for women and children in the developing world working hard for their family’s survival.  It promises to leave a lasting impression on all that participate.

To encourage young families to take the challenge we’ve also planned a number of kid-friendly activities including a bouncy-house and face painting.

Companies and organizations are also encouraged to take the challenge, with VIP arrangements possible for those that enter 10 or more teams. (Call Dan at 905 466 6111 for details)
