Run for Wells 2008 raised $30 000.00 for World Vision to put wells in 2 communities in Africa. Thanks to all who participated in making this happen! Access to clean water means health and life. Across Africa, nearly two million children die every year of diseases they contract from parasites and bacteria found in their dirty drinking water. The 2nd Annual Run for Wells takes place Saturday, October 3, 2009. This 5 km race and 1 km fun run is held at the Gellert Centre in Georgetown with the goal of raising $15,000 for a life-giving well through World Vision. "The ocean is huge.
